I have only read a book or two by this author in the past. And I am very impressed. I am the the biggest fantasy fan, but for a good plot and characters I can read almost anything. This is one of those cases where an author makes it easy for me to love a story.

I will admit I am slow. The couple in the book surprised me a bit at first. Then I switched my brain on and... Voila I was able to figure it out for myself. Note to self. When reading a book where it's a guess who plot have brain active! Anyway, the fact Bergin was the love interest did shock me. But reflecting, I realise it was pretty obvious.

I adored the book and plot as a whole. So much to uncover and a lot of great characters. The mystery was a welcome bonus. I love not knowing what will happen. I am the first to admit that it was hard to guess what was going on, not meaning that in a bad way. I just didn't know who was good, who was evil. Except Johnnie. He was always obviously good and sort of stupid.

I think people who like reading fantasy and mystery will love this. Even those like me who aren't the biggest fans will find something to love about this.
